Care Instructions

Congratulations! You are the owner of an exquisite piece of restored furniture. The hand rubbed wax finish on your furniture piece should have cured by now.

Please treat your item as you would any heirloom furniture piece. Use coasters, placemats or trivets to protect surfaces from heat and other damage.

Please do not use chemical cleaners on your piece of furniture. A soft, dry cloth is often enough should your item require further cleaning.

Scratches or Scuff Marks:
First, try removing it with the furniture waxes that we recommend. If that does not remove the scratches or scuff marks, buff away with some 0000 steel wool, this is available at your local hardware store. Then add another layer of wax to seal and protect the area.

Water Rings:
They typically dry out and vanish on their own. Don’t rub, blot liquid away.

Most of our painted pieces are waxed with a high quality, museum grade furniture wax. We recommend re-waxing it once or twice a year.

We use Miss Mustard Seed’s Furniture Wax. Buff with a clean shoe polish brush or old T-Shirt for a satin luster.
